Endless pastabilities.

Evening to all who read this, and even the ones that don't,
finally finally finally.....the weather has decided to shed its horrid heat and finally cool down, which means it's finally time for starbucks salted caramel mochas (which i tried today for the first time, and it may be the best mocha i've ever had, and i'm a coffee-junkie, so that is actually saying a lot.), the first few christmas songs (yes, i, alyssa, am that girl that decides it's christmas song weather as soon as i need to wear a jacket. anything below 60 degrees), and yummy (and easy) pastas for dinner.

this was what i made for dinner tonight, and it's one of my absolute favorite pasta dishes.

It's another simple recipe.

Chicken and asparagus pasta.
The ingredients are as followed:

  • chicken, one pack cooked and cut into small pices
  • asparagus, about 2-3 cups of chopped 2-inch pieces
  • red bell pepper, chopped into bite size pieces
  • one cup of chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • one box of pasta, i used bow tie because they're so cute
  • one clove of minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh basil
  • parmesan cheese (about a cup)
so, the directions are fairly simple,
make sure you have a large bowl to mix and serve the dish in.
saute the asparagus in a saucepan with the olive oil, and after about 2-4 minutes, add in the bell pepper and the garlic, and keep that cooking for another minute or two. add in the chicken broth and bring it all to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 4 minutes. then mix the chicken, pasta, and the asparagus mix together. add the basil (chopped into fine pieces) and the cheese, stir. and shazaam. you have the perfect cold winter night dinner.
